George Georgiades


George Georgiades, an associate with the Firm, is a corporate attorney who practices in all aspects of corporate and securities law, with a particular focus on securities offerings, mergers and acquisitions, broker-dealer compliance and corporate governance.  He also has knowledge and understanding of the JOBS Act and CrowdFunding.  Mr. Georgiades has been closely following the legal developments since inception and is actively advising industry members on the proposed regulations.

Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Georgiades was associate counsel and compliance officer of Maxim Group LLC, a leading broker-dealer and investment bank, in New York. His prior affiliations include the Securities Litigation Department of Napoli Bern Ripka LLC, British Aerospace Engineers (BAe) Inc., Neocleous & Co. LLC and Centrica Energy Plc.

Mr. Georgiades studied economics at Fordham University in New York and specialized in commercial law at the University of Westminster School of Law in London, England. He subsequently completed a Master of Laws in Banking, Corporate and Finance Law at Fordham University School of Law in 2009. He is a registered General Securities Representative (Series 7), Securities Agent and Investment Adviser (Series 66) with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority. During the Fall academic semester, he assisted in teaching a course on securities law at Fordham University School of Law.

Mr. Georgiades is a member of the New York State Bar Association, New York County Lawyers Association and the American Bar Association. He is admitted to practice in the State Courts of New York.
