Michael A. Dinowitz, a member of the Firm, is a real estate and corporate attorney specializing in real estate and business transactions. His real estate practice focuses on the areas of real estate finance, acquisitions, conveyancing, leasing, partnerships and joint ventures, while his corporate transactional activities include mergers and acquisitions, stock and asset sales and private financings. Mr. Dinowitz also regularly advises corporations, limited liability companies and partnerships in general organizational, structural and business matters, and he also handles disputes involving shareholders in closely held corporations.
In his real estate practice, Mr. Dinowitz represents residential and commercial real estate owners and developers, investors and corporate tenants. In the corporate area, among other industries, he has represented companies in the manufacturing industry and the service and supply and professional service sectors. His practice generally includes a broad range of small and mid-size companies as well as individual entrepreneurs.
A member of the New York and New Jersey bars since 1987, prior to joining the firm Mr. Dinowitz was a principal partner at the Manhattan law firm of Motola Klar Dinowitz & Carfora, LLP. Mr. Dinowitz received his J.D. from Brooklyn Law School in 1987 and his B.S. from the State University of New York at Albany, magna cum laude, in 1983. Among other involvements in various charitable and not-for-profit organizations, he is a currently a member of the Board of Trustees of the JCC-Y of Rockland County.
