Honeah Sohail Mangione is an associate in the Firm’s Intellectual Property and Corporate Transactional Law groups. Ms. Mangione has a Master’s Degree in Microbiology and Molecular Genetics from Rutgers University and works with many of the firm’s clients in the technology, medical, biotech and consumer product fields.
Ms. Mangione’s experience includes counseling on copyright, patent, and trademark matters including, but not limited to: domain name disputes before ICAAN; takedown of websites hosting IP infringing materials; IP due diligence review as part of a merger or acquisitions transaction; drafting and negotiation of IP contracts (e.g. licenses, sale of IP); opposition and cancellation proceedings before the TTAB; drafting and prosecution of patent applications; filing and prosecuting trademark applications; filing copyright applications; litigation with expertise in trademark and copyright litigation; counsel in transactional matters such as drafting, negotiating, and analyzing business and commercial contracts (e.g. non-disclosure agreements, data vendor licenses) and advertising. Expertise in the following industries: cannabis, video games, and biotech/pharmaceutical sectors.
Prior to becoming an attorney, Ms. Mangione gained significant experience while working in both the pharmaceutical industry (e.g. Merck & Co) and academia (The Cancer Institute of New Jersey, focusing primarily on epigenetic modifications in breast cancer).
Ms. Mangione is admitted to practice in New York and is privacy certified (CIPP/US).
