Paul Rooney, a member of the Firm, wrote an article for Total Food Service titled: “Where Do The Children Go? To Work – In Your Restaurant.” In the article, Paul discusses the severe labor-shortage problem facing the hospitality industry in the wake of declining immigrant/undocumented worker availability. Adult-workers willing and able to fill roles in hospitality are scarce, as a result, employers may increasingly consider hiring younger workers — including teenagers as young as 14 — which was once uncommon in the sector.
