Alexander Leong is a member of the Firm’s Labor & Employment Practice Group. Mr. Leong’s practice includes representing unionized and non-unionized employers in federal and state courts, in arbitration and mediation, and before administrative agencies such as the National Labor Relations Board, National Mediation Board, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, New York State Division of Human Rights, New York City Commission on Human Rights, U.S. Department of Labor, New York State Department of Labor, U.S. Department of Homeland Security, and New York City Department of Consumer and Worker Protection. Mr. Leong handles a wide variety of labor and employment matters, including, representing management in labor arbitrations and NLRB representation proceedings and defending employers against unfair labor practice charges, employment discrimination complaints, wage and hour investigations and lawsuits, unemployment tax audits, investigations by the New York State Attorney General’s Office, and Form I-9 investigations.

Additionally, Mr. Leong advises companies on labor and employment issues, including, union organizing drives, collective bargaining negotiations, personnel and disciplinary issues, responding to complaints or grievances from unions and/or current or former employees, and wage and hour compliance. Mr. Leong also assists clients with reviewing and drafting contracts, policies, and handbooks.

Although Mr. Leong represents businesses across a wide range of industries, many of the clients he has represented are in the restaurant, retail, manufacturing, and construction industries.

Mr. Leong is a graduate of Cornell University’s School of Industrial and Labor Relations and Brooklyn Law School. Mr. Leong is admitted to practice before the courts of the State of New York and the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. Mr. Leong was selected as a New York Metro Super Lawyer in the area of Labor and Employment Law in 2015-2017 and 2022-2025 and was recognized by Long Island Business News in a January 2020 article entitled, “Who’s Who in Intellectual Property & Labor Law”.
