Christian O’Connell, a member of the Firm, is an experienced international corporate attorney whose practice involves mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, private equity and venture capital transactions, securities offerings, corporate reorganizations, financial restructurings, corporate governance matters, and a wide range of complex commercial transactions, both domestic and international. He regularly counsels inbound and outbound clients on the corporate aspects and strategy of establishing and maintaining cross-border business operations.

Mr. O’Connell has also received multiple recognitions for pro bono legal services contributions in the areas of nonprofit formation and governance, public international law, and human rights.

Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. O’Connell practiced in the Washington, D.C. office of Baker & McKenzie LLP, the Paris office of Kramer Levin Naftalis & Frankel LLP, and the Washington, D.C. office of Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP. He holds a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Notre Dame and received his J.D. magna cum laude from the American University Washington College of Law, as well as a diploma in European and international legal studies from the Université Paris Nanterre.

Mr. O’Connell is admitted to practice law in New York and the District of Columbia. He is fluent in French and serves on the board of the French-American Chamber of Commerce of Washington, D.C.
