    JM Global Holding Company announced the closing of its initial public offering in the amount of $50,000,000.  EG&S acted as counsel to JM Global Holding.

    Hennessy Capital Acquisition Corp. II announced the closing of its initial public offering in the amount of $175,000,000.  EG&S acted as counsel to Hennessy.

    House Democratic Whip Steny H. Hoyer (MD) held the second hearing in a series of hearings called “Make It In America: What’s Next?” After five years and 16 bills signed into law, and facing a different economic landscape today, the hearing series explored how the economy has, and hasn’t, changed, and what families and businesses need in 2015 to Make It In America.  Douglas Ellenoff, a member of the Firm, was invited to testify as an expert in the economic sector.

    Amanda M. Fugazy, a member of the Firm, was invited to speak at the InsideNGO annual conference at the Washington DC Convention Center on July 28th and July 29th.  She will be presenting a session titled “Global Volunteers, Interns and Fellows, Legal and Structural Issues” on July 28th and on July 29th she will be co-presenting a session titled “Employee Terminations: Legal Consideration and Transition Support” with Darren Kimball the owner of the The 5 O’clock Club.
