Amanda Fugazy and Adam Weiss, members of the Firm’s Employment Law group, successfully represented a Freeport Lieutenant who was a highly qualified candidate for promotion to Chief of the Village police department. On behalf of the client, the Firm sued the Village of Freeport, NY for racial discrimination and, after a trial in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York, the jury returned with a verdict awarding the officer $1.35 million dollars.
