    MagneGas Corporation announced the closing of their PIPE offering in the amount of $5,000,000.  EG&S acted as counsel to the Investor.

    Effective December 1, 2014, FINRA has new Consolidated Supervision Rules, 3110 and 3120 (See Regulatory Notice 14-10 March 19, 2013.) The new rules are the product of a nearly six year-long process begun in May 2008 by FINRA Regulatory Notice 08-24.  To help firms and their responsible persons determine their obligations under the new Rules, Ellenoff Grossman & Schole has prepared a Memorandum.

    Client Update:  New York City Earned Sick Time Act – Effective April 1, 2014

    Beginning April 1, the law, passed originally last summer, and significantly expanded by the City Council this past February, requires private-sector employers with 5 or more employees in New York City to offer at least 40 hours of annual paid sick leave to each employee. Employers with fewer than 5 employees in the city will be required to offer at least 40 hours of unpaid sick leave to each employee per year.  Click here to read some highlights of the new requirement.
