On October 30, 2008, Heckman Corporation announced that Heckman stockholders approved the proposed merger with China Water and Drinks Inc. EG&S acted as counsel to Roth Capital Advisors, which was one of the original underwriters.

Sanders Morris Harris Group announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement for the sale of SMH Capital, a registered broker-dealer, to a group of the firm's management, along with Pan Asia China Commerce Corp (“PAC3”), which has agreed to provide financing for the transaction. EG&S acted as counsel to the management and sponsors of the MBO.

A group of private investors acquired control of Integrated Conveyor, Ltd. and provided capital to restructure the obligations of the company. EG&S acted as counsel to the private investors.

Knob Hill Partners, LLC, a search fund led by Charles Burckmyer and Scott Noll, announced today that it has held the final closing on its fund and commenced its nationwide search for a company to acquire.
